Since joining Hampton High School in 2022 as Head Boys Basketball Coach, Coach Taylor has brought a wealth of experience and a history of success to our basketball program. With a career spanning over 15 years across middle school, high school, and college levels, Coach Taylor has been dedicated to developing both the athletic and personal growth of his players.

Under Coach Taylor's leadership, teams have consistently excelled. His previous role as an Assistant Coach at Newton High School led to three consecutive Georgia 7A Assistant Coach of the Year awards (2015-2018) Three Elite 8’s and Two Final Fours. Known for his comprehensive approach to player development, Coach Taylor has coached and mentored multiple NBA and College basketball players. His Teams emphasizes discipline, strategic gameplay, and sportsmanship.

To date, Coach Taylor has amassed an impressive record of 252-115 over his varsity and JV coaching career. His teams have achieved national recognition, ranked as high as #5 in the country by Max Preps and #9 by USA Today in 2016.

Coach Taylors commitment to fostering athletic excellence and character continues to be a cornerstone of Hampton High School’s basketball program.
